Range Rules and Other Policies

HTC DOES NOT SELL FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION! WE ALSO DO NOT HAVE FIREARMS FOR RENT!
YOU ARE LEGALLY, MORALLY, ETHICALLY & FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TERMINAL RESTING PLACE OF EVERY ROUND YOU FIRE

  1. CHECK-IN:
    Every person who enters the Range Grounds must check-in at the office.
  2. CONCEALED CARRY:
    ABSOLUTELY NO CONCEALED CARRY IS PERMITTED ON RANGE GROUNDS!
    PLEASE ENSURE YOUR WEAPON IS UNLOADED AND IN A CASE PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AT THE RANGE.
    OPEN CARRY IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE RANGE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
  3. PHOTO ID:
    Unless you are a member with an HTC issued ID card, ALL SHOOTERS MUST PRESENT A VALID STATE ISSUED PICTURE ID!  A copy of a Driver’s License will not be accepted.  No one will be permitted on the range without a valid ID.
  4. EYE & EAR PROTECTION:
    ALL PERSONS ENTERING AN ACTIVE RANGE MUST WEAR EYE & EAR PROTECTION.
  5. RANGE ATTIRE:
    For Safety Reasons, ALL SHOOTERS must wear proper range attire such as T-Shirts & Closed Toe Shoes. This means:
    1. NO OPEN TOE SHOES
    2. NO SANDALS
    3. NO SLEEVELESS SHIRTS
  6. BASIC ENGLISH RANGE COMMANDS:
    The use of standard NRA Range Commands in English is the accepted practice worldwide.  ALL SHOOTERS MUST UNDERSTAND ALL RANGE COMMANDS IN ENGLISH (without the use of a translator).
    No shooter will be permitted on a range if they cannot understand the Range Safety Officer commands in English.
  7. SPEED LIMIT:
    The Speed Limit on Range Property is 10 MILES PER HOUR. Members who repeatedly disregard this speed limit will lose their range driving privileges.
  8. PETS:
    For Safety Reasons, pets are not permitted at the range, Service Dogs are welcome.  Service Dogs are permitted in the parking and recreation areas.
  9. SHOTGUNS:
    Pump or Semi-Auto will have a minimum of an 18” Barrel.
  10. SHOTGUN AMMO/RIFLE STEEL:
    1. 25 Yard Range: Bird or Buck Shot (NOT ON STEEL)
    2. 25 Yard Range: .223/5.56 (paper only on the public bay)
    3. 100 Yard Range: Slugs only (not for use on Steel)
  11. TARGET STICKS:
    Target Sticks are NOT FOR SHOOTING!  Do not aim for the target sticks when shooting a shotgun.  If you are shooting for destruction, BRING YOUR OWN STICKS!
  12. AMMUNITION:
    Tracer or incendiary ammunition is not permitted on any range.
    Steel jacketed, multi-core, and/or armor piercing ammunition is not permitted for use on steel targets.
  13. DAMAGE to STEEL:
    Shooters are responsible for repairs and/or replacement of HTC Steel Targets if the damage is caused by the use of incorrect ammunition.
  14. TARGETS:
    Paper Targets and Steel Targets are the only approved range targets. ABSOLUTELY NO shooting of fruits, appliances, cans, water jugs, etc. allowed on the range.
  15. STEEL TARGETS:
    Steel is for RENT. NO FREE SHOTS!
  16. BRASS:
    Shooters may only police their own brass.
  17. OPEN BAY RENTALS:
    In fairness to all members, HTC will only accept reservations for an open bay 2 weeks in advance.  There will be a 15 minute grace period from the beginning of your reservation.  If you are not checked into the range within 15 minutes of your requested start time, HTC will consider the bay as open inventory and available for rental.  Please call if you are delayed (305-224-1839).
  18. LEAVE THE RANGE AS YOU FOUND IT!
    The cleanliness of the ranges is the responsibility of each renter. Please leave the range as you found it. Bring up stands and backers and leave them under the covered area.  Dispose of your trash.  If HTC needs to clean your range, there will be a $20.00 clean up fee assessed upon your next range rental.
  19. MINOR SHOOTERS:
    Following are the policies of HTC:
    1. Under 18 Years of Age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
    2. Ages 13-17, Must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at ALL TIMES.
    3. Ages 7-12, Must be SUPERVISED by the Parent or Legal Guardian 1 on 1 with 100% oversight. Adults will NOT BE SHOOTING while the child is shooting.
    4. Ages 6 and under, not allowed on an active range
  20. CUSTOMER CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
    All customers must notify HTC at least 96 hours prior to the start of the class or event in order to receive a 100% refund. A 75% refund will be issued with a cancellation notice between 72 hours and 96 hours. No refund will be issued if the customer cancels less than 72 hours prior to the start of the class or event. Those who do not call to cancel at all or do not show for the class or event will be considered a “no-show”. All “no-show’s” lose all rights to receive a refund of any kind.

    Alternate Actions:
    As an alternative to a refund, customers who call to cancel less than 72 hours prior to the start of the class or event may opt to transfer their funds to a future class or event of the same nature within 90 days of cancellation. This will not apply to those who are a “no-show”. If the customer fails to reschedule their event within 90 days, they lose all rights to receive a refund of any kind.
